The Dean's List honors those who make the biggest impact in the world of sports. Sometimes it profiles the unique individuals that become internet stars. Sometimes it offers commentary on professional athletes and their accomplishments or ill advised actions. Regardless, it will always leave you talking about it at work the next day.

Tebow Mania
The Broncos Tim Tebow is the talk of the Twitterverse. The Chosen One not only led the Broncos to a win over the Steelers on Sunday, but he also set a Twitter record in the process. Today twitter announced that the social network erupted for 9,420 tweets per second after Tebow's 80-yard game winning touchdown pass in overtime. That is a new tweets per second record for a sports event. It also gives me an opening to highlight DJ Steve Porter's homage to ESPN's coverage of Tebow.
Hoosier Daddy
Basketball crazy Indiana is once again relevant. The Hoosiers are 15 and 1 and are now the number 7 ranked team in the nation. They have already surpassed their win total from a year ago, when they went 12-20. There is so much excitement over this team that everyone wants to get in on the fun. It is a conversation point for basketball fans. As is this YouTube clip that is quickly making the rounds.

Resolve to Resolve
If you have noticed a few more people at your fitness center lately, you are not alone. It is the season for New Year’s resolutions. But, do not get frustrated if your favorite treadmill is taken or if you have to wait a few extra minutes to use the leg press. The crowds will soon thin. They always do.
Last year’s poll by the Opinion Corporation of Princeton, New Jersey tells us that 62% of people make New Year’s resolutions and only 8% are successful. So, let us all make a New Year’s resolution to not give up on our New Year’s resolution. And above all, do not be one of the overzealous folks that try to take on more than they can handle on day one of your commitment to fitness. If you do, you may end up on a YouTube video.
